Reliance on God

Psalm 62:8 (NASB) Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

How many times do we put our trust in people or things instead of in God? People fail us, governments and other things fail us, but God is always faithful. When we are distressed, when everything else fails, we finally remember to call on God. God is present to hear our hearts; we can express every emotion to God. God is patient, loving, and understanding, and when we have emptied our hearts to Him, confessing our faults and sins, crying out our needs and desires, He fills us with the great peace that only He can provide. He cares for those who faithfully rely upon Him, protecting us and covering us with His great love.
